Top 10 ranking: No. 9 for career development, No. 9 for diversity This Madison, N.J.-based clinical laboratory has a spotlight on health. The company encourages its 43,000 employees to focus on improving their health through its HealthyQuest program, which educates employees about their individual risk factors and encourages behaviors that will lead to better health. HealthyQuest provides employees and their spouses or domestic partners free use of the Quest's health risk assessment service, Blueprint for Wellness, which the company also provides commercially to other organizations. The service produces a personal assessment report detailing health risks and opportunities for improvement based on the combined results of both a survey of lifestyle and health habits, and more than 30 diagnostic tests and biometric measurements for cardiovascular disease, colorectal cancer and other conditions. Employees who participate in the program earn a $10-per-pay-period reduction in their medical benefit contributions.
